Our Mission
Camp Communications is a new high speed internet company serving Kenora and the greater Northwestern Ontario region — built to serve a grossly under‑served area.
It is our mission to provide fast, professional, and reliable Internet access as well as intelligent home and security services at a reasonable price.
While the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission identifies suitable internet access at a minimum of 5mbps download and 1mbps upload, some areas are stuck with speeds well below grade — and worse yet, some are without access in the first place. With recent advancements in wireless technology, customers in remote areas can enjoy fast, reliable internet connections without the high infrastructure costs of the past.

The package prices above include an equipment rental fee of $25 + tax. We understand that some will only require seasonal service, so while equipment stays dormant the cost of your package will be reduced to the equipment rental fee only. Equipment can remain dormant up to six months in a calendar year.

Installation includes
- The installation of a J‑Mount on a regular roof line or somewhere with easy line of sight
- Internal antenna radio and Cat5e wiring to demarcation point at managed WiFi POE
- Testing and setup of service (excluding setup of customer devices)
All installation work conforms to industry standards with best practices followed. All Cat5e cabling is outdoor (UV) rated with shielding and drain (grounding) wire included, and will be securely fastened to the structure and hidden from view where possible.
The Small Print
While we do everything we can to ensure you achieve your package’s speeds, remember that you are on a shared service and factors out of our control could have an impact on your service. The speeds advertised above represent our best efforts, and though we wish we could, we can not guarantee deliverable speeds will be available error free. All plans are monitored 24/7 and controlled according to our Fair Use Policy.
Radio, POE Injector and all provided Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) remain the property of Camp Communications. Equipment will be completely owned and maintained by Camp Communications against failure. Damage, theft and loss is the responsibility of the customer. Installation charges and first month dues to be paid at the time of installation. We accept credit and debit transactions.

Check a wired device
Double-check Internet access status on a wired device to ensure it isn’t a wireless issue.
Power-cycle the POE
Verify power is going to the POE: if there is power to the POE injector, unplug it for 15–30 seconds, then plug it in again. Do not press the reset button on the bottom of the router.
